Angus Ashton Film collaborated with Sydney content agency Storyation, to create a series of videos for hipages, Australia’s largest online tradie marketplace. The video series features popular tradies Tom and Ryan from The Block, who share their experiences, business advice, and trade insights directly from their work sites. The series, titled Sidewalk Sessions is fun and informative and geared towards Australian tradespeople on digital channels.
With direction from Storyation, We shot the series across two days in Victoria and quickly commenced post production, working with a tight delivery schedule. The videos were shared on hipages’ main channels, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. This project marked the launch of hipages’ content on TikTok, broadening its audience. The results were very promising. The videos accumulated 117,000 views across all platforms, indicating strong viewer engagement. On TikTok, 8 out of 20 videos reached a total of 111,000 views. Audience feedback was very positive. They appreciated the entertainment value and practical advice from Tom and Ryan. The project effectively strengthened hipages’ connection with everyday tradies, supporting their business journeys and reinforcing hipages’ reputation as a reliable platform in the industry.
