Social Media Video
Videographer, Editor: Angus Ashton, Daniel Peek
A short social media video for Chinese company Giblin Halofresh – a Chengdu based importer/exporter of premium Australian products and produce, with particular interests in the beef and cherry export markets.
Angus Ashton Film was engaged by the Chinese company to create a short impromptu promo video following one of Giblin Halofresh’s directors, who was on a business visit to the state, while also showcasing the clean atmosphere of Tasmania and its highly regarded beef market. The clip follows Director Eric, as he travels around Tasmania meeting key people from the Tasmanian beef and livestock industry. The social media video was filmed over two days during winter in 2014 by Ashton & Peek. The clip features a number of locations along Eric’s busy route as he meets with farmers and restaurateurs in towns such as Longford, Launceston, the Tamar Valley, Hobart and Sandy Bay. Writer Daniel Peek came up with a voice over script and recorded narration with local voice talent. The clip was then edited, colour graded, subtitled in Chinese and delivered online to the client within a short turnaround period. The final 2 minute promo was displayed on the companies social media channels and on their customer facing sales platform for their Chinese buyers.
