We were approached by UGL, one of Australia’s leading engineering services companies, to produce a promotional video for their Railway Systems division, highlighting their flagship products SIGVIEW and SIGMAP™. The project was filmed over a day at UGL’s Railway Systems Lab in Melbourne with a small crew of two. We captured live action footage of the team and environment on site, then combined it with detailed CGI sequences developed in-house using Cinema 4D and Octane Renderer.
The goal was to create a video with a cinematic, sci-fi futuristic feel that reflected UGL’s forward-thinking approach to rail technology. The CGI allowed us to visualise complex systems such as network control, data flows, and worker safety protocols in a way that was both clear and visually engaging. By blending these 3D elements seamlessly into the live-action environment, we were able to give viewers an inside look at how SIGVIEW and SIGMAP™ operate. The final video presents UGL’s technology with clarity and impact, blending technical insight with cinematic visuals to highlight their role as innovators in rail. The final video was published on the UGL website and social media platforms and will serve as promotional material for expos and conventions.
