An edit for 313RGB by Angus Ashton. Running silently above a heaving crowd, invasive computational processes tick away. Unbeknownst to the true meaning of what is being observed. Are you Watching — III is an expansive full wall interference/installation; a dystopian reflection that bombards the space in sinister graphical processes. Metadata is invisible to the naked eye. But it records telemetry, time and location; who we are, who we see, talk to and visit. By subverting the processes that underlie our interactions with this technology, we can disrupt what happens to the information we feed into the network.
Are you Watching III is built upon a custom matrix of visualised processes that are dynamically selected, randomised and presented through a modular grid system and output over two projections. The varying scale and dimensions of the grid result in a serendipitous conjunct of chance occurrences
