Ashton & Peek were commissioned to assist in launching the RACV Hobart Apartment Hotel’s redevelopment with a series of online promo videos that formed part of their hotel digital marketing strategy. As the hotel went through an extensive building process, the clips were shot throughout the course of a year, focusing on various areas within the hotel such as its food and beverage division in its restaurant and bar, along with front-of-house reception areas and refurbished rooms. Also featured in one of the videos was an electric car, a Nissan Leaf, made available to guests staying at the hotel as a complementary service. The spacious inner city hotel is conveniently located in the CBD area. Footage shot from an adjacent car lot was used to show the hotels central setting. The series of four hotel marketing videos were shot over a number of days throughout 2016 and highlighted some of its unique new features such as its collection of fine Tasmanian gins in its bar, the aforementioned complementary electric vehicle service, its reinvigorated fine dining in-house restaurant, Charcoal, and its unique conference facilities for events such as weddings and corporate functions. The final videos were delivered to hotel management for use on their social media channels to promote the reopening, throughout and leading up to, its reopening period.
