A university marketing video for The University of Tasmania (UTAS) and its Unleash your Inner Scientist weekend held in 2017. The University ran a chance for Year 11 and 12 students from NSW or Victoria to spend a weekend in Tasmania with a parent or guardian, to experience Tasmania's unique educational environment, and see first-hand what UTAS has to offer, specifically in the field of science.
Over the weekend students would also have the chance to do some brief sightseeing within the state and experience events that also coincided with the inner scientist trip, such as the art festival Dark Mofo. Filming for the short social media marketing clip took place at the main campus in Sandy Bay and at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) in Salamanca over one day. Interviews were conducted with a number of students who participated in the weekend event. The students gave positive first impressions and thoughts on the UTAS facilities and most especially, the easygoing, safe and scenic nature of the state. A final clip was put together following the university brand requirements and within a very quick timeframe for eventual use on the university website, and its social media channels.
